The Underdogs

Just a  decade from now we saw MMA in a different light. A violent game of inequalities many said. Many failed to even come across the sports specifically in any positive light. It was a sport without standardisation, a collection of do-or-die matches. It was a long run for the underdogs to shine in the bright starts. In the early days remarks such as human cockfighting plagued the sport, however; the formation of UFC helped in organising the sport to a level.

TUF 2005

The Ultimate Fighter launched in 2005  helped the game build a larger community of fans that were head over heels for the stars like Chuck Lidell and Randy Couture. Each moment when the reality TV show showed a glimpse of the disciplined lives of the fighters, many remember the adrenalin rush they once felt. Now when fans saw a match they also remembered each sweat that had trickled down the bodies of stars like Tito Ortiz each passing breath each lifting session that it took to be a fighter. They had never related more before and that's where and when the fandom began.

Fighting Globally

As the fandom grew MMA attracted Fighters from different martial arts backgrounds, diversifying the sport to a greater instant. What put UFC back on the map and into a flourishing business was the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. During the live finale, Forrest Griffen and Stephan Bonner slugged it out for 3 rounds on live TV and I believe at one point total viewership passed 10 million at a single point during the 15-minute war. Once that occurred Chuck Liddell fought Randy Couture on PPV a week or so later and from there the business just plugged along. $ 1 million to buy the business and now it's valued at over $ 1 billion.Major Pay-Per-View Events: MMA now hosts major pay-per-view events that rival traditional sports in terms of viewership and revenue.Crossover Athletes: The involvement of crossover athletes from other sports brought additional attention and interest to MMA.

Future Prospects:

Continued Growth: With ongoing efforts in talent development, global expansion, and increasing mainstream acceptance, MMA is likely to continue its upward trajectory. The journey of MMA from an underground spectacle to mainstream acceptance has been marked by overcoming challenges, adapting to societal expectations, and showcasing the athleticism and skill of its practitioners. The sport's ability to evolve and capture a diverse audience has solidified its position as a major player in the world of sports and entertainment. To get your kid into this wonderful era of MMA you need the right coach and a better academy with bookmyplayer academies. Now amigos, NOT INTO MMA? if you wanna read something else you can click on a different blog given below or tell us how you liked this one till then BUH BYE…
